Tasha M. Williams received her BSW degree from South Carolina State University in 1998 and her Masters of Social Service Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 1999. During her graduate studies Tasha’s main area of interest and focus were Mental Health and Clinical Counseling.
Since starting to work as a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice/Therapist, more than 20 years ago she has been able to assist many people with gaining skills to effectively manage depression, anxiety, life changes, personality disorders, and helping to manage and eliminate addiction. Tasha’s therapy style is Client Centered, allowing for shifts in practice to meet the needs of individual clients, families, or couples.
Developing a healthy therapeutic relationship is important to Tasha, and she includes humor, active listening, culturally competent practice, and meeting clients where they are to assist in developing the same. Tasha expresses a strong desire to assist clients with finding, creating, and living their best life day to day vs. waiting for “when I…” points to do so. If someone needs a listener who will tell the truth, offer comfort and support, and provide education while assisting with navigating through the hard times, Tasha is one to do just that. Clients have described her as intuitive, a friend in an office, and a teacher of fixing life. It’s important to Tasha that clients understand themselves and the world around them better, and she invites clients in to allow her to help them to find their best self.
